April 17-20, 2013 Bien Donné Agri Cape Week Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa The Bien Donné Agri Cape Week has become a household name in the Western Cape agricultural circles and has been presented annually by the Agricultural Research Council since 1942. In 1691, Bien Donné meaning 'good gift' was awarded to Pierre Lombard, a French Huguenot from Pontaix, Dauphine in France and in 1937 the South African Government bought the farm to be used as a venue for agricultural research. This year's expo theme is 'Change for sustainability' and is drawing on its seven decades of experience to bring the agricultural vision into a dimension direly needed to sufficiently provide for generations to come.
