The public has the opportunity to taste the award-winning wines at a wine tasting event that is held every year after the end of the competition while winners receive the awards at an official awards ceremony.

The European Economic Community has named Leonidion the 'Tsakonika' Eggplant capital of Europe. Tsakonika eggplants are sweeter than eggplants grown in any other parts of Greece. The festival is held near the end of August each year.
