June 27-29, 2008 Placencia Lobsterfest 2008
Placencia, Belize
In the month of June, Placencia Village celebrates the opening of Lobster Season with its annual Placencia Lobsterfest. This three day festival honors the delectable crustaceans that were once the primary means of livelihood for this one time sleepy fishing village. Traditionally held on the last full weekend in June, the Placencia Lobsterfest is a fun-filled family affair with a wide range of activities and entertainment, and of course delicious lobster dishes!
