66th Annual Urbanna Oyster Festival - Urbanna, Virginia
On the first weekend in November, the small Town of Urbanna, Virginia closes down their streets for a weekend full of festivities, food, and fun, all to celebrate our favorite little mollusk, the Oyster!  The Urbanna Oyster Festival is the 2nd Oldest Oyster Festival in the world, and in 1988 was designated as the Official Oyster Festival of the Commonwealth!  Live Music, Delicious Food, Beautiful Waterfront, One-Of-A-Kind Fireman’s Parade, the Virginia State Oyster Shucking Competition, and SO MUCH MORE!  Attendance: 50,000.

November 4, 2023  SML Fall Chili and Craft Festival
Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia
Enjoy a full-day event featuring music, crafts and a spectacular competitive chili cook-off.  Trophies will be awarded for "Best Chili," "People's Choice," and "Showmanship."  It'll be a hot time at Smith Mountain Lake.  Held lakeside at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, near the Hales Ford Bridge.

November 10-19, 2023  Virginia Cider Week - Various locations, Virginia
Virginia Cider Week started in 2012 when the Virginia House of Delegates and the state Senate passed House Joint Resolution 105 to designate the full week before Thanksgiving as Cider Week in Virginia.  Since then, Virginia cideries have celebrated Virginia Cider Week through festivals, tastings, pairing dinners, workshops and open houses at venues throughout the state. Virginia Cider Week is a great time to celebrate the growth and variety of the Virginia cider industry.

November 11, 2023  34th Annual Oyster Roast - Reedville, Virginia
Reedville Fishermen's Museum.  Important fund raiser, which supports the museum’s educational programming, features a menu of oysters – both cooked and raw-on-the-half-shell, bean soup, hot dogs, barbeque, clams, chicken wings, cheese, desserts, coffee and soft drinks. Beer and wine available for purchase. Music and dancing.

November 11, 2023  Shenandoah Uncorked - Quicksburg, Virginia
Shenandoah Caverns.  There will be 11-12 of Shenandoah Valley’s best wineries, cideries, and a meadery! Enjoy food from 3 awesome food trucks! Find fun gifts at the craft vendor tables! Wine tastings are $22 but admission into the building is free! Tickets are on sale now!

November 11, 2023  Annual Truffle Feast - Barboursville, Virginia
Barboursville Vineyards.  Enjoy a four course truffle feast paired with Barboursville wines, prepared by Executive Chef Michael Clough, in cooperation with truffle forager and wild mushroom expert Dr. Jeff Long.

December 2, 2023  Holiday Yule Log Bonfire & Holiday Marketplace
Norfolk, Virginia
This festive outdoor wonderland will feature unique and local crafters, a massive Yule Log bonfire, Christmas caroling with a take home carol book, and also a visit from the big-man himself, Santa Claus.  During the festivities, hot chocolate, ciders, seasonal craft beer, mulled wine and other holiday treats will be available for purchase. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Virginia Stage Associates.

December 10, 2023  Cocktails at Christmas - Middletown, Virginia
Belle Grove Plantation.  Join us for this festive cocktail party that has become an annual tradition. Each year we create a special cocktail featuring Copper Fox Distillery’s Belle Grove 1797 Whiskey.  The evening will also include holiday music and the opportunity to  tour the decorated Manor House lit by candlelight.  Tickets to this event would make an excellent holiday gift!

November 9, 2019  7th Annual Richmond Cider Celebration
Richmond, Virginia
Dive into the cider renaissance with cider from VA cideries and local food from Richmond area chefs at Richmond’s historic 17th Street Farmers’ Market.Tickets are $30 in advance, and $35 at the door.  Each ticket includes: commemorative tasting glass, dual wine tote bag, access to educational workshops, live music and 10 cider tastings. Cider will also be available for purchase by the glass or bottle. Under 21 may enter at no charge and purchase a la carte food and drinks.
