14th Blacksburg Fork and Cork

Please join us for our annual wine festival the Blacksburg Fork and Cork from 1 pm to 6 pm! It will be held at Historic Smithfield from 1-5:30 p.m., with VIP early access at Noon. As always, there will be over 20 wineries sampling some of the greatest vino in the Commonwealth, wine pairing and cooking demonstrations throughout the day, handmade creations by local artists, culinary delights, and live music. An open competition among over 15 participating restaurants, the She Crab Soup Classic focuses on one of the region’s most-loved seafood delicacies. The highly identifiable cuisine has been a staple of area menus for decades. Restaurants serve their individual recipes and compete for People’s Choice Awards, determined by ballots of those attending. Alcohol tastings, as well as full glass & bottle purchases of wine, distilled spirits cocktails and craft beers. Almost 50 Crafters will be on site offering their wares. This is a family-friendly event, but please, no dogs or other pets. Food will be available for purchase from vendors, including seafood, Oysters, BBQ, hot dogs & hamburgers, Kettle corn, & dessert. The Gnarly Hops brewfest returns with live music and over 70 different beer selections. Sample Virginia and nationally brewed beers, including area favorites like Devil's Backbone, Starr Hill, Blue Mountain, and Wild Wolf Brewing Company. Bold Rock Hard Cider will again be available in two refreshing flavors: Hard Apple and Draft Cider. A few well-known out-of-towners will also be on draft, like Goose Island, Sweet Water, Omegang, and Lagunitas Brewing Company. CRI guarantees there will be a craft beer to suit any taste– beer enthusiasts might even find a new favorite!
