July 8, 2023 - Horse & Hound Wine Festival - Bedford, Virginia
Enjoy wine from eight of Virginia's finest wineries while listening to good music and visiting art, craft and food vendors. Virginia's most unique wine festival has numerous events throughout the day with horses and dogs as the primary attractions such as the Parade of Horses, agility dogs, and muskrat racing.

July 14-15, 2023  Annual Hanover Tomato Festival
Mechanicsville, Virginia
This free, outdoor family and pet-friendly festival returns to Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville. In addition to select agriculture, handcraft and artisan vendors and Bow Wow Beach there will be delicious Hanover Tomatoes for purchase, tasting and Hanover Tomato-focused cuisine.  Attendance: 30,000.

July 15, 2023 - Annual Key West Festival - Purcellville, Virginia
Come enjoy our "Vineyard in Paradise" at the annual Key West Festival at Breaux Vineyards.  Enjoy island inspired food, wine tastings, craft vendors, vineyard hayrides, wine-a-ritas, kids activities, vineyard tours, live music and more!  Wine and wine-a-ritas will help you ease into the perfect state of mind.  Live music.

July 20-22, 2023  35th Annual Chincoteague Island Blueberry Festival
Chincoteague Island, Virginia
Held each year on the weekend prior to the Chinoteague Island Pony Swim. Features music and over 100 artists and crafters. Blueberries galore--fresh, blueberry shortcake, ultimate blueberry pie, muffins, homeade ice cream, pancakes and much more!

July 28, 2023  Annual Virginia Cantaloupe Festival
South Boston, Virginia
Virginia Cantaloupe Festival at Berry Hill Resort.  Begun in 1981 as a way to showcase the succulent goodness of cantaloupes grown locally in beautiful Halifax County, the festival has become one of the premier events in Virginia. Great food, fun, and music.

July 8, 2016 - Tomato Un-Cookoff - Mechanicsville, Virginia
The Tomato Un-Cookoff is a gathering of local underground chefs competing head to head in transforming the famous Hanover Tomato into tantalizing recipes.  Come out to taste test what our local talent can dish up.  Judges Choice and Peoples Choice Awards will be presented after the judging. Free event and open to the public with musical entertainment throughout the evening; nominal fee will be collected for those wishing to participate in the tastings.
