February 6-7, 2023 - Empire State Producers Expo - Syracuse, New York Oncenter Syracuse. This annual show is hosted by the New York State Vegetable Growers Association in order to provide a comprehensive trade show and educational conference for New York producers, as well as neighboring states and Eastern Canada. February 14, 2023 - VALENTINE’S DAY Most of the more than 1/2 million restaurants in the U.S. have special events scheduled for today. They are too numerous to list. February 18, 2023 NYS Ice Wine & Culinary Festival Fairport, New York The largest celebration of traditional Ice Wines made in NYS. Authentic Ice Wines are a challenge to produce and are therefore rare and special. In order to qualify as a true ice wine, the wines must be produced from grapes that have been frozen on the vine. The frozen grapes must be picked and pressed within hours of the first sustained freeze. Because of this labor-intensive and weather-dependent process, very few wineries even attempt to make ice wine. New York is also one of the very few places in the world that has the climate to support traditional ice wine production, thus producing a rich, sweet and smooth wine. February 18-25, 2023 National FFA Week - Nationwide The week of George Washington's birthday as National FFA Week in recognition of his legacy as an agriculturist and farmer. February 23-25, 2023 New York Farm Show - Syracuse, New York The New York Farm Show is the leading farm show in the Northeast since 1985. The show hosts more than 400 exhibitors displaying the latest in farm equipment, tractors, combines and farm implements; seed and crop protection products; farm supplies and services, dairy and beef production, woodlot and related industry supplies.
