11th Annual Mississippi Peanut Festival
Collins, Mississippi
Experience life on a working farm and enjoy Mississippi grown peanuts. More than 100 vendors with unique crafts and gifts, lots of great Southern food, and live entertainment will all be present at this year's event. Admission to the festival also gets you into the Mitchell Farms Pumpkin Patch and Maze where you can take wagon ride tours of the famr, learn about agriculture in Mississippi, pikc a free pumpkin from the patch, and explore a 6 acre maze.

October 6-17, 2021  Mississippi State Fair - Jackson, Mississippi
Once again, we have transformed the 105-acre campus at the fairgrounds into an outdoor amusement park filled with all your favorite fair foods, carnival rides, games, shows and contests...all in a safe and functional manner.  During the 2021 Mississippi State Fair, spectators and participants can find excitement in numerous livestock shows and musical entertainment for all ages from headliner artists, the Zerbini Family Circus, a new Firefighter Challenge featuring local and national firefighters, and of course, the longstanding tradition of the Biscuit Booth. Dedicated employees of the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce will be handing out complimentary homemade biscuits every night. New to the Fair this year is the addition of the first-ever ‘Mississippi Frontier Village,’ an  outdoor area featuring western-style vendors, exhibits, and entertainment!

October 8, 2021  Chili Festival - Tupelo, Mississippi
The Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association (DTMSA) will host the 18th annual Chili Fest in downtown Tupelo. The one-day festival will be held on South Broadway Street between Main and Troy and will consist of lunch, music and a chili cook-off.  Teams of four members compete against other teams in a number of prize categories including chili recipe, presentation, team spirit, costumes, most creative tent and most original theme.

October 8-9, 2021  38th Annual Octoberfest - Cleveland, Mississippi
Octoberfest is a celebration of barbecue, arts, music, southern cuisine and much more! A Memphis Barbeque Network sanctioned barbecue contest, this annual festival draws 20,000 + to historic downtown Cleveland. Featuring non-stop live music on 2 stages, this year Octoberfest will feature Blues Blvd. where Mississippi merchandise, live blues music and authentic Mississippi cuisine can be enjoyed.  Attendance: 20,000.

October 15-16, 2021  24th Southern Foodways Alliance Fall Symposium
Oxford, Mississippi
SFA is excited to be hosting an in-person symposium in 2021. This year, SFA documentary work and programming focused on Environments and Transformations.  Please join us in a spirit of fellowship and welcome as we explore natural, built, and imagined environments.  Lend your voice as we eat and drink and make meaning from that sustenance. As we deconstruct bar environments. And travel literary landscapes. Together, we will connect climate change and commercial fishing. Through sculpture and dance, through prose and poetry, we will gain ways to see old environments and move through new environments.

Pascagoula, Mississippi
Held annually at the Fairgrounds in Pascagoula is the best free fair in the South. The Jackson County Fair features food booths manned by non-profit church organizations, a midway stocked with rides for all ages, arts and crafts made by local citizens, live entertainment, business displays and a pavilion stocked with prize winning animals from the local FFA organizations.

October 23, 2021  Annual Gautier Mullet & Music Festival
Gautier, Mississippi
Enjoy delicious regional food specialties, Music & Entertainment, Arts & Craft show, Regional Food, Heritage & Educational Area, Car & Motorcycle Show, Mullet Toss Contest and Kid's Area. Fun for all ages. Over 30,000 folks attended last year”s festival.   Attendance: 30,000.

October 24, 2021  Chefs of the Coast Food & Wine Gala
Gulfport, Mississippi
The Mississippi Gulf Coast's premiere food and wine event.  It is a showcase of the Coast's diverse and delicious cuisine and where our local chefs come to shine.  Members are eligible for discounts on ServSafe training, as well as other workshops and educational opportunities.

October 30, 2021  Town-Wide Halloween Party - Tylertown, Mississippi
Get your costumes ready... the Town-wide Halloween Party from 3-5 p.m..  Participating businesses have free candy for costumed children (10 and under) starting at 3 p.m..  Standard Trick or Treating hours are from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Have a safe and Happy Halloween!!!

October 24, 2019  Taste of Long Beach - Long Beach, Mississippi
Join the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce for the Taste of Long Beach event at the Long Beach Senior Center. Here's your chance to be able to sample and enjoy food and beverages from local restaurants. There will also be a silent auction and live music. Must be 21 of age or older to attend.
