50th Annual Vardaman Sweet Potato Festival
Vardaman, Mississippi
Come help celebrate the delectible, versatile sweet potato, a mainstay of the southern diet. Arts & crafts, beauty pageant, 5K run, sweet potato tasting booth, sweet potato pie eating contest, and a great cooking contest.

November 10-12, 2023  Annual Christmas City Gift Show
Biloxi, Mississippi
Largest show of its kind in the Southeast.  Over 300 vendors featuring arts and crafts from all over the country waiting for you to pick up that one-of-a-kind holiday gift. Thousands of visitors plan their vacation time around this annual event.    Considered the BEST gift show in the South.   Attendance: 13,000.

November 11, 2023  13th Annual Chili Cook-Off
Moosehaven, Mississippi
An International Chili Society Regional Cookoff.  All Proceeds Benefit Mooseheart School Project

November 23, 2023  THANKSGIVING DAY - Nationwide

December 8-9, 2023  Country Christmas Festival
Tylertown, Mississippi
Booths and exhibits will be located in the AgriHeritage Building (location of the weekly Farmers Market) downtown. Arts & crafts, old-timey demonstrations, refreshments, entertainment, and music will be enjoyed.

December 9, 2023  Annual Christmas on the Bayou
Gulfport, Mississippi
Lighted boat parade down Bayou Bernard. The Parade begins in Gulfport Lake, down Bayou Bernard to the conclusion at the mouth of the Bayou at Big Lake.

December 6, 2019  Annual Wassail Fest - Columbus, Mississippi
Enjoy entertainment throughout downtown as musical groups perform along the sidewalk and inside establishments, many offering door prizes and demonstrations. Wassail is served at all participating businesses--pick up your ballot and vote for your favorite wassail!

December 10, 2019  Terra Madre Day - Worldwide
A worldwide celebration of local food held every year on December 10. Through hundreds of diverse and unique events across the globe, together we show that a global food revolution grows from local roots.

December 31, 2019  New Year's Eve Party & Oyster Ball Drop

Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum.  Ring in the New Year with the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum for their Oyster Ball Drop. Live entertainment by Blackwater Brass, heavy hors d'oeuvres, full bar, party favors, beignets to go & fireworks! 8:30 pm-12:30

The Mississippi Fruit & Vegetable Growers Association is a group of commercial fruit and vegetable growers with a vested interest in promoting the fruit and vegetable industries in Mississippi. This year’s conference and trade show will include a variety of informative sessions that you can find here.

November 17-18, 2017 - Mississippi Food Summit & Agricultural Revival
Jackson, Mississippi
Agriculture & Forestry Museum.  Each year, farmers, health practitioners, market managers, chefs, legislators, students, educators, and local food activists from around the state come together for the Mississippi Food Summit.  They share successes stories, problem-solve barriers, provide opportunities, and discuss issues that connect their diverse specialties.  With the ultimate goal to educate, inspire, and empower one another, the Mississippi Food Summit is truly a one-of-a-kind gathering that has something for the whole family.
