Taste Of SouthCoast festival from noon – 5pm (tastings end at 3:15pm) at Pier 3 on the waterfront.  This family-friendly event features SouthCoast restaurants, caterers, and bakeries serving up sample size portions of their signature dishes. Local beer and wine will be available.  Ticket price includes the tasting & music by a local band. Free children’s activities.  Free parking in the Elm street garage and shuttle bus.

Located at Hawleywood, 84 Middle Road in Hawley, Massachusetts.  All are welcome at the newest food event in Hawley, Massachusetts, which will be low key but fun. Bring your favorite rhubarb dish, recipe, or anecdote—or just come relax in the country and taste other people’s treats.  The day celebrates rhubarb in general and the publication of the new book, “Love, Laughter, and Rhubarb.”  At 3 p.m. horticultural maven Pat Leuchtman will discuss raising rhubarb. And writer/chanteuse Tinky Weisblat will sing a song of rhubarb and talk about her love of this much maligned food. Red attire is encouraged but not required. May 9, 2015  BARS Annual Blessing of the Rakes
Osterville, Massachusetts
Barnstable Association for Recreational Shellfishing.  Bring your shellfish rakes, and have them blessed by local clergy for a bountiful harvest. Reed Baer, Pastor of West Parish Barnstable will officiate. Bring your rakes, and if you bring your bucket you can grab some clams after (if you have your shellfishing license).

The 8th annual ACBF, held at the Seaport World Trade Center, is the east coast's largest celebration of American beer, featuring over 140 American brewers and over 640 beers!   Attendance: 15,000.
