You’re invited to the 16th annual Natchitoches Meat Pie Festival and River Run being held in historic Natchitoches, Louisiana. The festival will take place at the downtown riverbank along the fabled Cane River Lake.

September 21-24, 2023  Annual Alligator Festival - Luling, Louisiana

New Iberia, Louisiana
Along with the crowning of a sugar queen, a bake-off and plenty of sweet treats, plan on enjoying an art show and boat parade. Other events include a carnival, a parade, a garden show and a street dance. Make it a sweet September by attending the festival where cane is king

September 23, 2023  Beignet Fest - New Orleans, Louisiana
Beignet Fest celebrates New Orleans’ most iconic dessert: the beignet. From traditional sweet treats to savory delicacies that feature seafood, cheese and more, Beignet Fest serves up the best beignets in the South. In true New Orleans tradition, Beignet Fest features a myriad of restaurant vendors; local and regional musical entertainment; and family-friendly activities in the Kid’s Village presented by Ochsner Hospital for Children.  Awards are given for best traditional, best sweet, best savory, and crowd-favorite beignets. Proceeds from Beignet Fest benefit the Tres Doux Foundation.

September 30-Oct 1, 2023  6th Annual National Fried Chicken Festival
New Orleans, Louisiana
The National Fried Chicken Festival (FCF) presented by Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers.   While there is no shortage of new activations and experiences coming to the annual event, Fried Chicken Festival attendees can expect everything they've come to know and love, including live music, cooking demonstrations and a stacked lineup of restaurants showcasing their best versions of fried chicken. FCF will also continue its traditions of the Best Fried Chicken Contest, Best Use of Chicken in a Dish Contest, and honoring a New Orleans culinary icon.

Catfish Capital of the Universe.  Sample from a wide variety of catfish dishes: including catfish platters, catfish boats, catfish po-boys and catfish sauce piquante. Rides, games, road races, and catfish-eating contest. Country store, plant booth and crafts. Live music.

September 23, 2021  Top Taco 2021 - Metairie, Louisiana
Top Taco fest-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy unlimited tacos, signature cocktails & tequila from over 30 of the city's best restaurants.  Fest-goers and celebrity judges will decide who has the best traditional and creative tacos, as well as the best traditional margarita and a creative cocktail. There will also be pop-up bars, live Latin music, tequila tastings, and other exciting things to enjoy at the fest. This year’s event is an all-inclusive taco and tequila throw-down. Once inside the festival, all food and drinks are included.  General Admission - $75.

September 7-8, 2018 - Farm & Table New Orleans
New Orleans, Louisiana
Farm & Table Nola is a two-day multi-sensory celebration of locally sourced food and drink – one family-fun festival day, the JAMBOREE, includes food and music, tastings, interactive gardening and cooking demos, games, displays, and more. A second day, Farm & Table EXPERIENCE, is a gathering to discuss the cultivation, distribution, and consumption of food and drink, food trends, how to source food locally, and many more compelling issues facing the agri-culinary community.

September 9, 2017 - The Taco Festival - Lafayette, Louisiana
A General Admission ticket provides access to taco-topia. Inside the event, you’ll find restaurants dishing out $2 tacos and bars and beverage stations serving margaritas, beer, water, and soda. The entire festival works on a token system – so you will purchase tokens worth $2 each and use those as cash. Vendors will be on hand to sell other food (mostly desserts) as well.
