September 1-3, 2023
87th Annual Kamiah BBQ Days - Kamiah, Idaho
In 1936, a group of community minded merchants began to offer a free barbeque dinner as a way of saying thank you to area residents for their patronage. The Kamiah Chamber has carried on the tradition of BBQ Days for more than 70 years, organizing and sponsoring nearly every aspect of the Labor Day weekend event. Today, thousands of residents, former residents, and visitors take part in BBQ Days - and the event continues to grow each year.

September 1-4, 2023 - Fall Fest 2023
Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Idaho
The festival begins Friday afternoon with two bands and over 80 beers, ciders, seltzers, and a handful of wines. Bring your blankets as there will be live music all weekend! The beer tent will be on the tennis courts near the bottom of the Great Escape Quad so you’ll never be too far from the beer. The party continues Saturday, Sunday and Monday with 8 more bands! For the kids we’ll have the soda station where they can mix their own flavors and create wild concoctions. We’ll have arts and crafts vendors throughout the village and a food court nearby.

September 1-9, 2023  Eastern Idaho State Fair - Blackfoot, Idaho
Attracting over 200,000 visitors, the fair offers agricultural exhibits, free entertainment, carnival, parade, rodeos, and delicious fair foods.  Attendance: 219,000.

September 16, 2023  Annual Idaho Spud Day - Shelley, Idaho
Shelley Idaho Kiwanis Club.  Annual Idaho Spud Day is a country-style gala celebration of the Idaho potato offering fun for visitors of all ages. Events include a parade, music, demolition derby, free baked potato lunch at noon, Dutch oven cook-off, World championship potato picking, and Spud Tug.

September 21-24, 2023  79th Annual Nez Perce County Fair
Lewiston, Idaho
A Celebration of the special qualities of life in Nez Perce County.  4-H livestock, horticulture, home economics, fine arts, and entertainment. The Nez Perce County Fair presents an opportunity for both young and old to exhibit their special skills and hard work.

September 22-23, 2023  Annual Idaho Gourd Festival - Nampa, Idaho
Gourd Art Competition; Silent Auction; Demonstrations; Vendore; Make & Take Activities for kids and adults; and much more.
 


 

September 23, 2023  Old Boise Oktoberfest - Boise, Idaho
This family-friendly event is packed with live music, delicious food, and authentic German Biers!

September 29-30, 2023  30th Annual Harvest Festival & Street Fair
Emmett, Idaho
Among the many charms of a rural lifestyle is Harvest Time. This important season marks the rewards of a year of hard work preparing, planting, tending, and more tending.  The reward of months of toil. Harvest is celebrated when the region's crops come in. There is feasting drawn form the crops of the season and a sense of relief, relaxation and lots of social gathering to share in the delights of another year's accomplishment.  Join us again this year for another celebration of our harvest!  This is a FREE event to attend full of wonderful food vendors, arts and craft vendors, and entertainment! Local orchards are available for picking too!

October 4-8, 2023  27th Annual Trailing of the Sheep Festival
Ketchum & Hailey, Idaho
A cultural heritage festival relating to the history of sheep ranching in Idaho.  Includes - Cooking with Lamb workshop;  For the Love of Lamb;  SheepTales Gathering;  Lamb Feast at the Folklife Fair featuring the Valley's best chefs and restaurants;  Sheepherding Storytelling Lamb Barbecue;  Fiber workshop; Fiber Fest;  A Sheepherder's Ball with the Hhot Club of Cowtown;  Folklife Fair featuring demonstrations, music, dancers, displays, activities, artisans and shops;  Parade, featuring 1,500 sheep down Main St., Ketchum, Idaho.

October 6-7, 2023  Oktoberfest - Lava Hot Springs, Idaho
Join us in the quaint little village of Lava Hot Springs for a family-friendly Oktoberfest weekend stuffed full of food, activities, and entertainment! You’ll find a Beer Garden with Harvest Beers as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Oktoberfest-Dressed Contest, the Live Music, Games and Activities for All, and more!

December 31, 2023  11th Annual Idaho Potato Drop - Boise, Idaho
This New Year’s Eve in Downtown Boise, the Idaho New Year’s Commission & The Idaho Potato Commission, will be hosting the annual Idaho Potato Drop for thousands of spec-taters in front of the Idaho State Capitol.  The Idaho New Year’s Commission hosts a free community New Year’s Eve celebration to ring in the new year with a lasting tradition that puts Idaho on the map as a world destination for New Year’s Eve. With music, fun, fireworks, games and a true VIP experience, this event promotes community and commerce in Idaho while creating awareness for Idaho’s beloved Potato. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to programs helping Idaho’s homeless population. To help raise money for this effort please purchase VIP tickets, t-shirts, sweaters and gear or be a hero and donate at Potato Drop Shop.
