October 7, 2023  26th Annual EGGtoberfest - Stone Mountain, Georgia
The annual gathering of Big Green Egg enthusiasts. Big Green Egg: Kamado-style smoker and grill.

October 7, 2023 St. Marys Seafood Festival - St. Mary's, Georgia
Sponsored by the St. Marys Kiwanis Club, the annual festival will include a parade, road races, arts & crafts and rock shrimp dinners.
 


 

October 14-15, 2023  Taste & Brews Fall Fest - Canton, Georgia
Etowah River Park .  A must-attend event for foodies and beer lovers alike. With a variety of delicious food and drinks, you will be able to indulge in Southern-style BBQ or try some Cajun cuisine, and more. Live music featuring regional and local acts. There will be plenty of activities for all ages, including a kid zone area, arts & crafts and a farmers market.  The Taste & Brews Fall Festival will showcase the rich and diverse culinary traditions of the region. FREE admission, so it's perfect Fall weekend getaway.  Attendance: 10,000.

October 14-15 & 21-22, 2023  Georgia Apple Festival - Ellijay, Georgia
Everyone is invited to Georgia's Apple Capital, Ellijay, where cool mountain nights produce the best tasting, crispest apples. The annual festival will include over 300 vendors with hand-crafted items, a parade, and an antique car show.

Two weekends!  Festival events include sorghum cooking demonstrations, arts & crafts, games & contests and music all day.

October 17-19, 2023  Sunbelt Ag Expo - Moultrie, Georgia
Crowned as North America’s Premier Farm Show and the largest Farm Show in America with field demonstrations, the Sunbelt Ag Expo brings together all segments of rural living from research and education to the live farm harvest and agribusiness. Add in rural lifestyle fun, truck, tractor, and ATV test drives and sports and the venue is perfect for rural enthusiasts.

October 20-21, 2023  59th Annual Georgia Peanut Festival
Sylvester, Georgia
Activities include one of the largest parades in the Southeast and a beauty pageant with up to 100 contestants.  Craftsmen from all over the state showcase their creations.  Most importantly, you’ll experience peanut treats to delight everyone in the family.  Did you know that every jar of Peter Pan peanut butter is made in Sylvester, Georgia?

October 20-22, 2023  24th Annual Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival
Richmond Hill, Georgia
Continuous entertainment on two stages, carnival midway, car show, the greatest seafood found anywhere, and fireworks Saturday night.  Attendance: 25,000.

October 21, 2023  Gainesville Chicken Festival Chicken Cook-Off
Gainesville, Georgia
The cook off consists of two divisions: Professional and Backyard Bar-B-Q. Prizes will be awarded in both categories.

October 21, 2023  Deep Roots Festival XX - Milledgeville, Georgia
BBQ Cook-Off, Arts & Shops, Car Show, Kid Zone, Live Music.

October 26-28, 2023  West Fest - Cartersville, Georgia
Different Name - Same Western Fun.  Held at the Booth Museum costists of many activities and fun for anyone! It includes Re-enactments of the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral, Western music, Native American dancing, living history encampments, and more! Shop for Western art, jewelry, clothing, food, and pottery! Free children’s art projects, hay bale calf roping, Western Bouncy House.

October 27-29, 2023  Annual Georgia Gourd Festival - Griffin, Georgia
The Mission of the Georgia Gourd Society is to promote the horticulture, crafting, and appreciation of hard-shelled gourds (Lagenaria) to its members and the interested public.

October 28, 2023  Annual Hat Roberts Chili Cook Off
Tallapoosa, Georgia
Event held at the Tallapoosa Civic and Cultural Arts Center in Tallapoosa  on the fourth Saturday in October.  All you can eat chili with admission from 10 am to 2 pm.  Sponsored by the Tallapoosa Business Association.  Vendors will be set up to have their recipes judged.  You can vote on "People's Choice" - Music and kids games.  Halloween Costume at 1 p.m. - You can purchase chili dogs, chili spreads and every-thing chili.

October 28, 2023  Annual Georgia Sweet Potato Festival
Ocilla, Georgia
Arts and crafts, parade, motorcycle rally, antique car & tractor show, 1 mile fun run & 5K run, NBHA Jamboree equestrian event, sweet potato cooking contest and lots of other fun events.

October 28-29, 2023  Annual Toccoa Harvest Festival - Toccoa, Georgia
As always, the Festival emphasis is on homemade, handmade, home baked and homegrown items.  Two stages are set up for entertainment for the weekend. Downtown shops and restaurants are open, and several activities are available for children. The festival offers regional and international foods, a Classic Car cruise-in, a petting zoo, horse and buggy rides, puppet shows, farm displays, the Currahee Artist Guild's art exhibit and sale. There are a variety of food options, from complete dinners to snacks.  The festival features hundreds of craftsmen, performing dancers, jazz, rock and roll, and country music, an antique and classic car show. Children and youth activities include rides, face painting, rock climbing, moon walk and more.

October 15, 2022  29th Annual Great Pumpkinfest - Buchanan, Georgia
Held on the square in Buchanan around the Historic Courthouse. Features over 100 pumpkins, food, children’s games and safe trick or treating. There will be a costume parade this year instead of a  contest.  All kids are winners.  Beginning at 6 p.m.

October 22, 2022  Cochran-Bleckley Country Fest - Cochran, Georgia
Held annually on the third Saturday in October, this event offers tons of family-friendly fun. Visitors can delight in the splendor of handmade crafts, delicious festival food, enjoy live musical entertainment, children's inflatables and entertainment, and live animals.

October 17, 2020  27th Annual Bremen Towne Festival
Bremen, Georgia
The Annual Bremen Towne Festival, sponsored by the GFWC Bremen Junior Woman’s Club, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Bremen. There will be arts and crafts, numerous activities and rides for children, train rides, a variety of food exhibitors, great entertainment all day on two stages, parade at 11 a.m., and much more!

This festival explores Dawson County's history during the prohibition era when liquor was illegal and the Great Depression of the 1930's when running moonshine through the Georgia Mountains was a way of life. Visit an old moonshine still or listen to stories from both "trippers" and "revenuers". Parade, huge car show including race cars, music, kids' games and rides, exhibits, crafts and food. October 7, 2017  Annual Savannah Food Day Festival
Savannah, Georgia
Food Day - a national movement aimed at promoting healthy, sustainable, affordable, and just food systems in America.  The national observance of Food Day is October 24th. Here in Savannah, the Savannah Chatham Food Policy Council, a coalition of local organizations focused on our local food system; and Well FED, a local organization and magazine centered around food, dining, and healthy living, will be hosting a Food Day Festival on November 2.
