May 6, 2023 31st Annual South Arkansas Mayhaw Festival El Dorado, Arkansas The Mayhaw Festival is a street fair with craft vendors, WING DING (chicken wing cook-off), antique car show, Newton House tours, 5K Run, Mayhaw jelly, and bluegrass music. It is a great day of family fun held the first Saturday of May on the grounds of the Newton House Museum. May 13, 2023 19th Annual Buzz B-Q - North Little Rock, Arkansas Buzz B-Q has become THE premier BBQ event in Central Arkansas with the featured BBQ contest including Pro-Joes and Average Joes. In 2021 Buzz B-Q hosted 76 teams and over 2,000 turned out to sample and vote on the best BBQ in the area! This year a Grand Champion will be crowned in each division to see who is really King (or Queen) of the BBQ! Be sure to join in the fun! 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Downtown Riverside R.V. Park in North Little Rock. Attendance: 2,000+.

May 23, 2015 8th Annual Ozark Seed Swap Mountain View, Arkansas Co-sponsored by CAAH (Conserving Arkansas's Agricultural Heritage) at the Ozark Folk Center between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Ozark Seed Swap is a free event and will take place in the Administration building. Bring open pollinated seeds to trade with other gardeners. If you have no seeds to trade, bring envelopes or other garden and seed related items to share. Tickets for the Craft Village will be available for folks who wish to enjoy the Herb Spring Extravaganza and National Herb Day activities. |
