About the author
Alima began her career in the restaurant business over twenty-seven years ago. In an effort to share her love of food and culture, she began offering her knowledge to children and adults throughout the community.
     For Alima food is about sustenance of the soul as well as the palate. It is about song and poetry, about family and love and good company. Food prepared with love and fresh ingredients as well as the best balance of flavors is the most nourishing food in the universe. Alima's knowledge from the heart and commitment to concentration, meditation and contemplation has assisted in raising a family, being a good will ambassador, and a business owner
     She has been a featured speaker at programs put on by: "Beyond the Horizon" Youth Conference, Richland Community Development Task Force, Mid-Columbia Asian American Association, US Department of Energy, and many others.
     Alima's unique perspective on food and spirituality has been featured in the Tri-City Herald and the Tri-Cities Journal of Business.  Alima successfully authored her first two books, The Joy of Thai Cooking, which was released in 1990; and The Wings of my Soul, in 2000.
