Kissing in the Kitchen: Cooking With Passion

by Kevin T. Roberts

Review
Men, the way to a woman's heart is through the kitchen! In this creative and passionate cookbook, chef and foodie Kevin Roberts cooks up some basic training on becoming a Cassanova in the kitchen. With tantalizing chapters like Passionate Pastas, Sexy Sauces and Guilty Pleasures, Roberts shows how to make a dinner date at home sizzle.
With clear instructions and color photographs, this cookbook supports even the most novice chefs. Each recipe is complete with personal tips regarding preparations, food pairings and what to expect from the final product. Most recipes are tailored for two so they are just right for impressing that special someone. Throughout the book, Roberts intersperses "4-1-1 Tips" - how to customize the recipe to your needs, what to look for at the grocery store or how to really kick the meal up a notch.
The recipes feature fresh and readily available ingredients, yet incorporate an innovative twist to make the dishes distinct and memorable. Roberts includes classics like pot roast and meatloaf as well as more contemporary fare like the salmon pita with olive tapenade and wild field greens. A plethora of both meaty and vegetarian dishes ensures that there is a meal to impress any date. The photos are gorgeous and offer plating and garnishing suggestions, though images of more dishes would have been beneficial.
Nutritional information is not provided, but perhaps is not all that necessary given the focus on creating seductive meals to win over a date rather than health! (amazon.com)
