TWICE-COOKED GREEN BEANS

Serves 4

4 slices, bacon, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon onion, minced
1 pound green beans, cooked and drained
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon pepper

Cooking Directions
Saute bacon in skillet just until crisp. Remove bacon and drain.

Return drippings to the skillet.

Add garlic and onion. Saute just until golden.

Add green beans. Saute until heated.

Add sugar. Toss to combine.

Add lemon juice and pepper. Heat through.

Serving Suggestions

Fresh steamed green beans are great for this dish if in season, but you can use cooked frozen green beans. Serve with a roast like Italian Pork Roast with Roasted Potato Wedges or with America's Favorite Pork Chops.
