15th Ribs, Rods & Rock 'n Roll
Vermillion, South Dakota
Enjoy two big days of world class BBQ ribs, classic cars, food vendors, arts & crafts, street dance, beer garden, music fest, State BBQ Championship cook-off, children's games, and much, much more! Held in downtown Vermillion.

September 26-28, 2019  Annual Buffalo Roundup & Arts Festival
Custer, South Dakota
Feel the thunder and watch cowboys and cowgirls as they roundup and drive the herd of approximately 1,300 buffalo. Not only is the roundup a spectacular sight to see, it is also a critical management tool in maintaining a strong and healthy herd. Following the roundup, stay and watch park staff sort, brand and vaccinate the herd in preparation for the fall buffalo sale. At the Annual Buffalo Roundup Arts Festival, up to 150 vendors will offer for sale their fine arts and crafts including many South Dakota made products.  Dutch Oven Cook-Off and Chili Cook-Off.

September 28, 2019  11th Annual Great Downtown Pumpkin Festival
Rapid City, South Dakota
Visit Main Street Square and venture down Sixth Street and into Memorial Park for a pumpkin catapult, giant pumpkin weigh-off, chef competition, Rapid City Rush Foundation Kidz Zone, vendors and more! The community-wide celebration of harvest season brings an estimated 25,000 people together for a day of fall fun!   Attendance: 25,000.

October 4-5, 2019  Pumpkin Fest & Lighted Night Parade
Webster, South Dakota
Annual Webster Pumpkin Fest & Lighted Autumn Parade.   Pumpkin weigh-ins, hayrides, pumpkin olympics, crafts, food, entertainment, Wagon rides along Main Street, Entertainment, Giant Pumpkin Contest, Baking Contest, Children's Tractor Pull.  Something for all ages!!  So bring the whole family or just yourself!!!

October 5, 2019  Bierbörse - Rapid City, South Dakota
Bierbörse, German for beer stock exchange, is held every October in Main Street Square.  The Annual Bierbörse event from noon to 6 p.m. Beer tasting is from 2 to 6 p.m. Admission is free. All ages are welcome, and IDs are required to consume alcohol. The event features a ticketed microbrew tasting, polka music by The Happy Wanderers and homebrew sampling from Ale Riders Homebrewers.

October 31-Nov 2, 2019 - Ringneck Festival & Bird Dog Challenge
Huron, South Dakota
The 22nd year of the Huron Ringneck Festival competition and the 17th year for the Bird Dog Challenge.  Thirty teams with participants from as far away as Washington, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Nebraska compete in the event.  The Ringneck Festival competitive hunt consists of six-member teams, each attempting to bring back 18 pheasants.  The Huron Ringneck Festival Bird Dog Challenge is an exhibition that tests the skills of dogs and hunters.

Rapid City, South Dakota
Usher in the holiday season with a festive celebration, including shopping a collection of local vendors, a tree lighting ceremony, ice skating, holiday music and a visit from Santa Claus.

December 10, 2019 - Terra Madre Day - Worldwide
A worldwide celebration of local food held every year on December 10. Through hundreds of diverse and unique events across the globe, together we show that a global food revolution grows from local roots.

September 26, 2015  4th Annual Dutch Oven Cook Off
Custer, South Dakota
Come sample some of the best Dutch Oven cooking in the region at the Cabela's Challenge Dutch Oven Cook Off, sponsored by Cabela's and the Black Hills Dutchers.  Dutchers from across the region will complete for points and prizes in this sanctioned international Dutch Oven Society Cook Off. Tasting begins after the dishes have been judged around Noon. Tasting donations will go to the KOTA Care and Share Food Drive.

October 10, 2015  Made in South Dakota - Rapid City, South Dakota
Experience everything South Dakota has to offer in one culture-rich event.  Music, Exhibits, Food, and many other local samples that represent our great state. Participants can expect South Dakota game samples, local music, a celebrity outdoorsman, local delicacies, South Dakota grown produce, cooking competitions, give-aways, outdoor sporting exhibits, vendors, and more!  Also, visit the South Dakota Stock Growers Association BBQ Bootcamp trailer for presentations throughout the day.
