September 9-18, 2022 16th Annual Tulsa Restaurant Week Tulsa, Oklahoma Participating restaurants offer a prix-fixe Restaurant Week menu for lunch, brunch or dinner and agree to donate 10% of Restaurant Week menu sales for the entire week to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Again this year, the George Kaiser Family Foundation will match donations up to $25,000.
September 11, 2022 Charlie Adams Day - Newkirk, Oklahoma Charlie Adams Day is held in the heart of downtown Newkirk on the Courthouse Lawn from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. All of the entertainment is free. Many of the children's activities are also free of charge. World Class Barbecue Is available with the purchase of a tasting kit. The Heartland of the Prairies Dutch Oven Society prepare Cooking Demonstrations throughout the day And Free Dutch Oven Desserts. There are also hot dogs and hamburgers available if barbecue is not your thing. We look forward to seeing you here. Turtle races are on the schedule.
September 15-25, 2022 Oklahoma State Fair Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Visit the Oklahoma State Fair and don't forget to catch one of the fair's popular livestock or horse shows. Enjoy exciting PRCA rodeo action on Friday and stick around for a live concert following the event. Also, enjoy the hottest musical acts performing rock, country and pop during free concerts, held nightly. The food is famous at the Oklahoma State Fair, so stop by and feast on huge cinnamon rolls dripping with icing, or cool off with an ice-cold jug of sweet root beer. There is something for every appetite at the Oklahoma State Fair including Indian tacos, funnel cakes, gyros, corn dogs, barbecue sandwiches, roasted corn on the cob, turkey legs and slices of piping-hot pizza.
