JULY 4, 2022 - 4TH OF JULY Virtually every community in the U.S. has a 4th of July celebration.
July 8-9, 2022 McLoud Blackberry Festival McLoud, Oklahoma The McLoud Blackberry Festival began in the 1940's as a celebration of the end of harvest season for the local cash farm crop, blackberries. Activities include a parade, carnival, pageant, talent show, fireworks, and blackberry baking contest.
July 14-16, 2022 - 56th Annual Porter Peach Festival Porter, Oklahoma Contests for the best peach cobbler, dessert and preserves. Parade, music, street games, pet show, antique tractor pull, and 5K run.
July 23-30, 2022 - Craig County Fair - Vinita, Oklahoma Welcome to the oldest continuously run fair in Oklahoma. It is held the last week of July and showcases 4-H and FFA livestock and agricultural projects, as well as the diverse talents of Craig County residents that include activities such as baking, cooking, photography, sewing, needlework, gardening. July 27-30, 2022 Annual Valliant Watermelon FestivaL Valliant, Oklahoma Friday evening parade at 6pm, gospel music concert at 7pm, during which the Big Melon Weigh Off will take place. Saturday morning good, old-fashioned family fun, games and live entertainment. Come to this festival and enjoy watermelon salsa and watermelon slushies. There will also be free watermelon slices while supplies last. Watermelon Festival contests include a watermelon eating contest, seed spitting, a horseshoe tournament, weenie dog races and turtle races. Classic Car Show, Photography and Quilt Show. Food and craft vendors will offer something for everyone. A concert in the park at 8pm closes the Festival.
August 13, 2022 Rush Springs Watermelon Festival Rush Springs, Oklahoma The festival has proven popular since its beginning and the crowds have increased in number to over 20,000 visitors each year. Over 50,000 pounds of watermelons are purchased from area melon growers and served to festival visitors during the day. Attendance: 20,000.
August 22-27, 2022 Payne County Free Fair - Stillwater, Oklahoma Traditionally the county fair is the largest agricultural activity of the year. It brings together citizens of all communities in the county and allows the opportunity for renewal of old friendships and the opportunity for meeting new friends. It has been the goal of the Payne County Fairboard to offer a premium for all kinds of livestock, handiwork and farm products that will be exhibited from Payne County that are found worthy. The Payne County Fairboard will spare no pains to make everything pleasant and as comfortable for the public as possible to do, as well as to make it profitable. Remember, this is a free fair. No gate admission will be charged. It is your fair. With the right kind of cooperation, Payne County Fair will be second to none in the State.

August 11-12, 2017 Grab, Root, & Growl BBQ Competition Woodward, Oklahoma A people's choice barbecue cook-off where those in attendance are invited to taste and judge the chicken, pork and brisket smoked for hours by expert pit masters. This two-day event begins with a homemade ice cream competition on Friday with meats being prepared and served on Saturday. Bring the family and your appetite to this fun and filling event. This event is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. This sanctioned event has been organized to support vital Northwest Oklahoma Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) programming, serving abused and neglected children in Northwest Oklahoma.
