Bite Me: A Stomach-Satisfying, Visually Gratifying, Fresh-Mounthed Cookbook
by Julie Albert and Lisa Gnat
Description There's not a single thorny artichoke, scrawny quail, or roasted chestnut to be peeled in this book. What you will find in BITE ME are 175 dependably delicious recipes created for the urban and suburban, the aspiring and well-seasoned home cook. You won't need an army of sous chefs, a pantry of guava paste, or a blowtorch in order to turn a bag of groceries into a satisfying meal. We're all about making you confident in the kitchen and relaxed at the table.
REVIEW Greatest cookbook I own. Seriously. I have 50+ cookbooks on my shelf and this one is the one I keep coming back to. I mean who really wants to make a ‘pea foam’ on a Tuesday night? I don't. Give me some good simple recipes I can make for the roommates*.
If you are stuck on a desert island and can only take one cookbook with you, make it ‘Bite Me Cookbook’.
*I suggest you hide this cookbook from friends, family and roommates. Once they eat some of the food you get designated the "apartment chef" and you end up cooking most nights of the week. Chris (Amazon.com)
