Smucker Introduces First Ever Limited Edition Topping Flavors
Consumers Can Vote On Next Limited Edition Topping Flavor
(November 2008) – Cover up, your vanilla is showing! For the first time, The J.M. Smucker Company will launch two limited edition ice cream toppings flavors – Smucker’s® Pumpkin Spice and Smucker’s Magic Shell® Cherry toppings. These flavors arrive just in time for fall and just in time to cover up your vanilla ice cream.
Smucker’s Pumpkin Spice topping offers a distinct, sweet and nutty flavor mixed with seasonal spices that can be spooned over ice cream, poured on top of cake or mixed into warm beverages. Smucker’s Magic Shell Cherry topping – the newest Magic Shell topping variety – is a sweet juicy cherry flavor topping for a bowl of vanilla ice cream or over a slice of cheesecake.
“The creation of the Smucker’s Magic Shell Cherry flavor is a direct response to consumer demand – it is the flavor requested most often,” said Maribeth Badertscher, Director, Corporate Communications, The J.M. Smucker Company. “Smucker’s Pumpkin Spice is the perfect fall treat. This topping evokes memories of traditional fall festivities, from Jack-O-Lanterns on Halloween to pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving.”

For the first time ever, toppings lovers across America can cast their vote for the next Smucker’s limited edition topping flavor. From now until December 31, 2008, Americans can participate in Smucker’s “Your Vanilla Is Showing” campaign by visiting www.yourvanillaisshowing.com to cast their vote for one of the following new flavors:
Apple Cinnamon
Black Cherry
Magic Shell Cupcake Topping.
The new flavor will be announced in early 2009 and will be available on store shelves in June 2009 in select retailers nationwide.
