CHOCOLATE & BANANA ICE CREAM

 

Big Book of Chocolate

Preparation Time 15 minutes, plus chilling and churning
Makes 4 1/3 cups



Ingredients

• 3 ripe bananas
• 1/3 cup plus 4 tsp. sugar
• 1 1/4 cups plus 1 tbsp. milk
• 2 cups plus 2 tbsp. heavy cream
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 7 oz. bittersweet chocolate, melted and cooled


Directions

1.
Pulse the bananas with the sugar in the bowl of a food processor, then add the milk, cream, egg, and melted chocolate. Process until just combined.

2. Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight, then churn in an ice-cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
