April 14-20, 2014  Canned Food Week UK - Wales
Canned Food UK promotes a healthy balanced diet, including a mix of fresh, frozen, dried and canned food.

May 19-25, 2014  National Vegetarian Week
UK, Various locations, Wales
National Vegetarian Week (NVW) is the annual awareness-raising campaign promoting inspirational vegetarian food and the benefits of a meat-free lifestyle. Celebrated by the Vegetarian Society since 1992, the Week is now an established event that gets bigger and better every year. (also: www.vegsoc.org)

 

June 1-8, 2014  Slow Food Week 2014
Various Locations, Wales
With a host of fabulous foodie events all around the country and with the support of more chefs than ever before, this year’s Slow Food Week is Set to be the biggest and best yet.  Slow Food Week 2014 will see the introduction of 7 new Forgotten Foods, 7 new Chefs to the UK Chef Alliance and a variety of events.  Providing a forum to reinforce Slow Food UK’s work with local artisan producers and suppliers to preserve British edible biodiversity.  Slow Food Chef Alliance celebrations and fund-raisers will be taking place in England, Scotland and Wales.  Founded in Italy in 1989, Slow Food is a global, grassroots movement with thousands of members around the world that links the pleasure of food with a commitment to community and the environment.

June 28-July 6, 2014  Pembrokeshire Fish Week Festival
Pembrokeshire, West Wales, Wales
A celebration of Pembrokeshire's wonderful fish and seafood - not to mention its spectacular coastline.  The events and activities feature around fish and shell fish, eating out, fish cookery and preparation demonstrations, angling competitions and coaching, on water adventure and outdoor activities, waterway travel, environmental and educational activities, arts, craft and culture and for all ages!

July 13, 2014  17th Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival
Aberaeron, Ceredigion, Wales
Over the years, the Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival has grown to be one of the highlights of the food calendar in Wales. Several thousand people are expected to flock to the quayside this summer to see and taste the best of local seafood, fish and other produce.

 

July 21-24, 2014  The Royal Welsh Show
Llanelwedd, Bilth Wells, Wales
Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Show has become an important event in the Welsh calendar attracting some 240,000 people over the course of the four days and is supported by approximately 15,000 staunch members.

July 26 , 2014  Lampeter Food Festival
Lampeter, Ceredigion, Wales
Showcasing the best of Welsh food and drink, the annual festival will be held at the Lampeter campus of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

160th Annual Cardigan County Agricultural Show
Cardigan, Ceredigion, Wales
West Wales' Premier Agricultural Show.  Not only are we celebrating our 160th birthday but we are also changing things on the show field this year. Our Demonstration ring will be the focal point of the show with the introduction of a 150 seat Grandstand and the new Headliner act, there will be something for everyone to see and do at this year’s show.  We are also introducing a Sheepdog Trials Challenge for three invited Young Handlers from the Counties of Ceredigion, Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire. This will also take place in the Demonstration Ring and will be sure to thrill anyone who has ever Seen One Man and His Dog on the telly.   Another old Favourite will make a return appearance this year with the reintroduction of the Cattle Parade, a spectacle missing from the Show for many years.  Then there’s the New Food Hall with a variety of locally produced food and drinks on display. There will also be a demonstration area with talks and demonstrations taking place thorough the day. These are all on top of the well-established attractions which appear annually at the Show.

Narberth is gearing up for its 16th Food Festival with its usual mix of quality food stalls, eclectic choice of live performers, chefs, speakers and special events.

October 25-26, 2014  Gwledd Conwy Feast
Conwy, Wales
North Wales` biggest food festival, this tasty two-day event is held within Conwy`s medieval town walls and on its quayside. Gwledd Conwy Feast features Conwy's world famous mussels, collected in the Conwy river estuary for hundreds of years. The event boasts 150 stalls, celebrates the best of Welsh chefs and local produce and attracts 25,000 visitors. Varied programme of cookery demonstrations, music, entertainment and workshops and children's activities.

Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Winter Fair
Llanelwedd, Bilth Wells, Wales
Set in the heart of rural Wales and priding itself on being the best primestock event in the UK, the Royal Welsh Winter Fair has something to offer everyone.  The main attraction for the event is, of course, the tremendous display of livestock, with an average of 1400 entries in both the livestock and equine competitions each year, showing off the best of British farming.

Over ninety stalls across four venues: the Market Hall, Upper Brewery Yard, The Corn Exchange and The Priory - An unrivalled selection of fresh and cured meats, poultry and game, cheeses and chocolates, cakes and desserts, wines and liqueurs, ales, ciders and more - SweetieFest – wonderful old-school treats - 'Kitchen stage' demonstration programme.

Royal Welsh Agricultural Society Spring Festival 2015
Llanelwedd, Bilth Wells, WalesThe Festival includes classes and displays for rare and traditional breeds of cattle, sheep, pigs and goats and there were llamas and alpacas, poultry, pets, demonstrations covering bees, woodland crafts, farriery, farm machinery and equipment and vintage machinery, and magnificent and colourful displays of flowers and garden produce among the 350 trade stands on the showground. Attendance: 25,000.

August 16-17, 2013  The Welsh Menu Live
Swansea, South Wales, Wales
The Welsh Menu Live hits Swansea City Centre this August Bank Holiday. This food festival will encompass chef demonstrations, hands on sessions for children and adults, high quality street food, great entertainment and producer stalls selling the finest produce Wales has to offer. This ticketed event takes place over three days and an exciting schedule of demonstrations and talks is being planned. The show will appeal to lovers of fine food, and those with an interest in local, seasonal produce, showcasing everything from Welsh wine, beer and cider, handmade patisserie, and everything in between.

Llandysul, Ceredigion, Wales
The 13th annual event will include a variety of food stalls from all over Wales and many from the Teifi Valley itself. From cheeses to ice cream, chocolate to waffles, beer to liquers they'll be at our festival. We will also have cooking demonstrations throughout the day.

September 22-23, 2012  Great British Cheese Festival
Cardiff Castle, Cardiff, Wales
Britain's Biggest Cheese Market where you can taste over 400 Sheep, Cow, Goat and even Buffalo cheeses along with artisan wine, cider, perry and beer.

October 6, 2012  Food Festival--Celebrating Harvest
Llandysul, Carmarthenshire, Wales
The festival will take place at the National Wool Museum. It will celebrate local produce and harvest time with cookery demonstrations and competitions for local schools.
