Wakefield’s famous Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb has joined the hallowed ranks of Europe’s protected foods. Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb has been elevated to the same status as Champagne and Parma Ham. If it’s not from the Yorkshire rhubarb triangle, it can’t be called Yorkshire Forced Rhubarb. Wakefield Festival of Food, Drink and Rhubarb is one of the first major foodie events in the UK’s festival calendar. The festival celebrates the tradition of Forced Rhubarb growing in Wakefield, offering the finest regional produce and showcasing the most talented local chefs.

February 28, 2017  Olney Pancake Race
Olney, England
At 11:55 am on Shrove Tuesday each year, energetic local ladies in traditional housewife attire (including skirt, apron and scarf) run 415 yards through the streets of Olney  carrying a frying pan. Pancakes are tossed at the start of the race and the winner must toss her pancake again at the finish. The race has been run since around 1445 and since 1950, the contest has been an international event between Olney and the town of Liberal, Kansas in America

February 18-20, 2015 - A Theatre of Beer: Battersea Beer Festival
London, England
Following the major fire at the Battersea Arts Centre on Friday 13th March 2015 there is NO CAMRA South West London Battersea Beer Festival in 2016 or 2017 at this venue.

February 26, 2015  Tourism and Leisure Show - Maldon, Essex, England
The show is now in its 20th year, with over 90 exhibitors and continues to grow both in reputation, and visitor and exhibitor numbers, on a yearly basis. For the forth year running, there will be a "Taste Essex" area, where local producers and restaurants are invited to come exhibite. We want people to start making associations with the wonderful produce that originates from Essex. The core target market of visitors to the event are Coach and Tour Operators, and Group Travel Organisers. The General Public are also invited, as it’s important to attract local customers too – this is a captive audience, and it really is the perfect “show-case” to promote Essex as a whole.

February 8, 2014  Potato Day Event 2014 - Stowmarket, Suffolk, England
This annual event has run for 17 years and centres around a facility of gardeners to source varieties of seed potatoes - Scottish or Irish tubers. There is tastings and a number of side attractions including secondhand tools, fresh produce sales, seed retailer, cake stall, etc. as well as all the retail attractions on the Stonham barns site.
