September 1-3, 2017 Foodies Festival - South Park, Oxford, England
Each year the ever-growing festival sees tens-of-thousands of visitors flock from the surrounding areas to feast on a vast array of culinary activities, making Foodies Festival the social event of the summer. We have top chefs cooking in the Chef’s Theatre; wine, beer, and cocktails in the Drink’s Theatre and kids can learn to cook too in the Children’s Cookery Theatre; A new Tasting Theatre with The Cake & Bake demonstrations; Wine and Champagne Theatre; Beer Theatre; A new Feasting Tent; Another exciting addition this year is the Vintage Tea Tent; A new Chilli Food Market and Chilli Eating Challenge takes place at 5pm daily.

Lobster and Crab Feast
Clovelly, North Devon, England
We pay tribute to Clovelly's famous lobsters and crabs with a day of live folk music, quay kitchens, beer tasting, a prize draw, arts and crafts stalls and cookery demonstration. For the children there's street theatre, walkabout magic, balloon modelling and The National Trust event-themed craft activities. The Red Lion Harbour restaurant will be offering lobster and crab platters, with a complimentary glass of bubbly. The National Lobster Hatchery, Padstow, will bring along a tank of baby lobsters, to be later released into the sea. Normal admission charges apply, please consult website for details.
September 6, 2017 National Dairy Event - Birmingham, England
The Livestock Event is reverting to its roots in 2017. Organiser, the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers is returning the event to its traditional time slot with next year’s event scheduled for 6 September at The NEC, accompanied by a name change to the National Dairy Event. “The event originally rescheduled from September to July in 2013, renamed Livestock Event and widened its remit to cover other livestock enterprises, similar to the very successful Eurotier held in Germany,” RABDF chairman, Mike King told a media briefing in London today, 28 June. “It was anticipated that farmers would benefit from hearing about developments in other sectors and that the July date would be better for beef and sheep producers rather than just dairy.
