May 27, 2015  Scotland's Beef Event
Blairgowrie, Perthshire, Scotland
The event, which is being organised by the SBA (Scottish Beef Association), will be held by kind permission of the Alexander family at Mains of Mause, Blairgowrie, Perthshire.  Peter and Murray Alexander run a suckler herd of 1000 Limousin cross cows and a commercial flock of 2000 Blackface and Mule ewes extending over four units.  Adopting the theme of beef from the hills, the event is being designed to demonstrate all the latest technologies for sustainable beef production.

During the week, our network of local groups, producers, chefs and other supporting businesses and organisations will showcase the diversity within our movement with a wide range of events around the UK, while several new foods and chefs will become part the Ark of Taste programme and Chef Alliance programmes.  Providing a forum to reinforce Slow Food’s work supporting traditional, local, artisan producers to help preserve British edible biodiversity, farm and tasting tours, lectures, dinner, celebrations and fund-raisers will be taking place in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

April 23-26, 2014  Paisley Real Ale Festival
Paisley, Scotland
This April, Paisley Town Hall again plays host to the annual Paisley Beer Festival. Now in it's 27th year, the biggest beer festival in Scotland once more brings the widest range of ales and cider available in one location.  We will feature over 160 different real ales from all around Scotland; the English bar will be sourced from Lincolnshire; as well as a Foreign Beer bar which boasts draught and bottled beers from Europe.

May 17, 2014  Celtic Cook Off - Loch Fyne, Scotland
The best Chefs in the Celtic Regions in Competition.  Saturday 17th May at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar starting at 7pm.  Six chefs,  six dishes, four judges, one winner. Established in West Cork, this is a fun competition between top chefs from the Celtic Nations who are judged on their preparation of dishes made with local ingredients
