Lydia Maria Child
(February 11,1802 - October 20, 1880)

Lydia Maria (Francis) Child was an influential American author, primarily of antislavery works. She also wrote historical novels, a periodical for children, and several books for women such as 'The (American) Frugal Housewife' (1829), with household hints and recipes.
