GRILLED MUSHROOMS WITH CHEESE

INGREDIENTS • 0.50 lb. Fresh Mushrooms • 3.00 slices Bacon • 6.00 slices Toast • 3.00 tbs. Mayonnaise • 1.00 medium Onion, sliced in rings • 1.00 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
DIRECTIONS Slice mushrooms.
Fry bacon until crisp, drain and crumble.
In 3 tbs. of the bacon drippings, sauté mushrooms for 2 minutes.
Spread toast with mayonnaise, top with sautéed mushrooms, crumbled bacon, onion rings and cheese.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (375 degrees) about 8 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Serves 6 as a luncheon dish or cut into quarters and serve as an appetizer.
