CHILI POWDER

The first commercial blend of Chili Powder was supposedly created in 1892 by a German immigrant in New Braunfel, Texas.

Chili powder is a blend of chili peppers, cumin seed, oregano, garlic, usually salt, and sometimes cloves or allspice. It is the primary spice in Chili con carne.

Cinnamon, chili powder and seasoned salt are the seasonings most frequently found in American homes.
