BEST BUTTERCREAM FROSTING

Cookies to Die For!
by Bev Shaffer
This is a creamy butter frosting, a perfect base for a variety of flavored frostings as well.
Makes about 3 cups.

Ingredients

• 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 6 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
• 1/8 tsp. salt
• 1/3 cup heavy (whipping) cream
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 2 tbsp. light corn syrup

Directions

Place butter in a large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally, until creamy (about 2 minutes).

Gradually add confectioners' sugar and salt, alternately with heavy cream and vanilla, scraping bowl often, until well blended. Beat in corn syrup until well mixed.
