Serves 46 apples (or 4 apples and 2 pears)1/2 cup water1/4 teaspoon cinnamonWash, peel, and cut fruit into small pieces. Discard core. Put apple pieces in a saucepan. Add only enough water to cover the bottom of the pan. Place saucepan on burner and bring water to boil. Turn heat down to a simmer and cover. Stir occasionally until apples are soft. Turn off heat.
