BANANA CRISP

Divine Kosher Cuisine: Catering to Family and Friends

Bananas transform this traditional crisp into a unique dessert. Serve with dairy or nondairy whipped cream.
Dairy Or Pareve
Yield: 6 Servings



Ingredients

• 6 cups sliced bananas
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 cup chocolate chips, divided
• 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
• 1 1/4 cups flour
• 1 cup rolled oats
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup butter for dairy (use margarine for pareve)


Directions

1.
Preheat oven to 37S°F. Grease 8-inch square pan.

2. Combine bananas, sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon. Place in pan and sprinkle with half the chocolate chips.

3. Mix sugar, flour, oats and salt. Cut in butter or margarine until it forms crumbs. Add remaining chocolate chips. Scatter mixture over batter and bake 40 minutes or until browned.
