Ingredients• 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened• 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats (uncooked)• 1 egg• 3/4 cup all-purpose flour• 1 tablespoon lemon juice• 1/2 teaspoon salt• 1 teaspoon vanilla• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecansDirections• Preheat oven to 350°F.• Combine all ingredients except nuts in large mixing bowl. • Mix at low speed until well blended.• Stir in nuts.• Pour into greased 8-inch square baking pan.• Bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes. • Allow to cool and cut into 24 bars.
