FRESH PEACH COBBLER

Divine Kosher Cuisine: Catering to Family and Friends

Dairy Or Pareve
Yield 6 Servings



Ingredients
• 1 cup flour
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 large egg
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1/3 cup sugar
• 4 cups peeled and sliced fresh peaches
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1/3 cup butter for dairy, melted (use margarine for pareve)
• Ice cream for dairy (use nondairy ice cream for pareve)


Directions
1.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 8-inch round baking pan

2. Mix flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and egg until crumbly.

3. Combine cornstarch with 1/3 cup sugar and stir into peaches. Add ]uice.

4. Arrange peaches in pan, top with flour mixture and drizzle with butter or margarine

5. Bake until bubbly and crust is browned, 30 minutes Serve with ice cream or nondairy ice cream

Option: Substitute pears for peaches.
