BEEF BURGUNDY

Boeuf (à la) Bourguignonne is French for a beef stew made 'in the style of Burgundy,' or Burgundian beef. This means it is usually made with a red Burgundy wine as part of the liquid, and usually onions and mushrooms. However, it can also be made with a white Burgundy, and frequently some brandy is added to the stew.
