BATTLE CREEK, MICHIGAN

Battle Creek, Michigan is the birthplace of breakfast cereals and home to Kellogg, Post and Ralston Purina cereal plants. Battle Creek got it's name from a disagreement between 2 surveyers and 2 Indians in 1833 (or some sources say 1825).

Battle Creek, Michigan is the Cereal Capital of the World.

The Battle Creek Cereal Festival is an annual June event with "the world's longest breakfast table."
