SANGRIA - HOTTIE SANGRIA

Semi-Homemade Cooking 2 by Sandra Lee

servings 12
prep time 5 minutes
cooking time 1 hour (High)


2   bottles (750 ml) Rioja (Spanish red wine)
2   bottles (750 ml) white wine
2   cups frozen cherries
2   cups frozen peaches
1   cup simple syrup*
1   cup brandy, Christian Brothers®
1   orange, sliced
2   sticks cinnamon, McCormick®


1. Combine all ingredients in a 5- or 6-quart slow cooker.

2. Cover and heat on high-heat setting for 1 hour Reduce to low-heat setting to maintain temperature. Ladle sangria into glasses. Be sure to include some fruit in each glass.

*Note: To make simple syrup, combine 1 cup sugar with 1 cup water in a saucepan Bring to boil Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally.
