GRAPE JUICE
As Secretary of State during Woodrow Wilson's presidency, William Jennings Bryan, a prohibitionist) served grape juice instead of wine at state dinners, much to the amusement of sophisticated European diplomats.
During Prohibition years when alcohol sales were banned by the 18th amendment to the U.S. Constitution (1920-1933) wine growers would put large labels on their grape juice that stated: 'Warning: Will Ferment and turn into wine,' and then proceeded to give detailed instructions of what NOT to do so the grape juice would not accidentally turn into wine!
Grapes are more than 85% juice.
The juice of purple grapes seems to have similar effects in inhibiting blood clots and therefore heart attacks, as red wine.
