BOYSENBERRY
Developed by Rudolph Boysen (1895-1950) in Anaheim, California about 1923, the boysenberry is believed to be a cross between a loganberry, red raspberry and blackberry.
In 1932 Boysen turned over 6 hybrid plants to Walter and Cordelia Knott of Knott's Berry Farm to continue expanding cultivation of the Boysenberry. Production expanded and the Boysenberry was hugely successful.
