HOWARD JOHNSON’S

The first Dunkin Donuts and the first Howard Johnson's were both in Quincy, Massachusetts.

Howard Johnson's opened its 351st restaurant in 1952 and became the world's largest food chain.

The last Howard Johnson's restaurant (HoJo's) in Connecticut will cease to be a Howard Johnson's franchise in February, 2007. There are now only 3 HoJo's left in the country, in Lake George & Lake Placid, New York and in Bangor, Maine. The current owners of the Howard Johnson's food and beverage brand, La Mancha Group is expected to relaunch the brand in the future.
