HOTCHPOTCH, HOCHEPOT, HUTSPOT

These are layered stews of meat and vegetables, similar to the British Hot Pot. 

The Dutch version is made with flank steak, and the vegetables are frequently mashed all together.

The Belgian version may contain oxtail, pig's ears and feet. 

The Scots usually add barley, and sometimes rabbit.

In France it may contain chicken and beef.
