BUTTERMILK COFFEE

The Inglenook Cook Book (1906)


Boil together 1 quart of buttermilk and 1 pint of sweet milk. Make a thin batter, using 1 egg, 3 tablespoonfuls of flour, and sweet milk. Add to the boiling milk, sweeten, and serve as coffee.
