Archestratus (c. 350 B.C.) Archestratus Wrote 'Hedypatheia' (‘Pleasant Living’ or ‘Life of Luxury’). It is one of the earliest cookbooks, and was mentioned by Athenaeus. Books: Archestratos of Gela: Greek Culture and Cuisine in the Fourth Century BC
