Dr. Alexander P. Anderson

(November 22, 1862 - 1943)

Puffed Rice was developed by Dr. Alexander P. Anderson from Minnesota in 1901/02.

He patented the process right away and set up the Anderson Puffed Rice Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quaker Oats (American Cereal Co.)

Puffed Rice was introduced to the public at the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904.
