Professor Jerry Thomas

(20th century)

Author of 'The Bon-Vivant's Companion', also a bartender at the El Dorado Bar in San Francisco. Sometimes said to have invented the Tom and Jerry, but there is really no evidence that he did. He did however, popularize it in America.
