NEW ENGLAND "MAPLE BAKED BEANS"
A healthful, affordable recipe.
30 minutes Serves: 6 2 12-oz cans vegetarian baked beans 1/2 cup maple-flavored syrup 1/3 cup onion, chopped 1/4 cup catsup 1 Tbsp prepared mustard 1/4 cup lowfat white cheddar cheese, shredded (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 F.
1. Mix all ingredients together. Pour into a greased casserole and bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes or longer.
2. Sprinkle cheddar (optional) on top for the last ten minutes of baking. Serve warm.
