Green Chili Stew Recipe

Makes: 6-8 Servings
Prep Time: 20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 4-6 Hours
Ideal Slow Cooker Size: 4-Quart


Ingredients

    ~ 3 Tbsp. oil
    ~ 2 garlic cloves, minced
    ~ 1 large onion, diced
    ~ 1 Ib. ground sirloin
    ~ ½ Ib. ground pork
    ~ 3 cups chicken broth
    ~ 2 cups water
    ~ 2  4-oz. cans diced green chilies
    ~ 4 large potatoes, diced
    ~ 10-oz. pkg. frozen corn
    ~ 1 tsp. black pepper
    ~ 1 tsp. crushed dried oregano
    ~ ½ tsp. ground cumin
    ~ 1 tsp. salt


Directions

1.
Brown onion, garlic, sirloin, and pork in oil in skillet. Cook until meat is no longer pink.

2. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.

3. Cover. Cook on Low 4-6 hours, or until potatoes are soft.

Tip: Excellent served with warm tortillas or cornbread.
