CLOVE COOKIES

A great holiday, party, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, recipe

The Settlement Cookbook (1903 edition)
THE WAY TO A MAN'S HEART
Under the Auspices of "The Settlement"
(The Milwaukee Settlement House)


Clove Cookies

1 b. brown sugar
1/4 lb. butter
4 eggs
1/2 oz. ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon chocolate
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 lb. flour

Mix sugar and butter, add eggs, flour and the other ingredients.

Roll, cut and bake fifteen minutes.
