SUNFLOWER SLAW

Chefs of RodnReel.com
by Mike Lane & Chefs of Rodnreel
Recipe by Cynthia Beach

Personal Notes: Kikkoman Soy Sauce™ works best, as it is not nearly as salty as other brands.
This recipe can be doubled or more for large "pot luck" gatherings.

Ingredients

• 1 pkg. dry ramen noodles, broken up
• 1 oz. pkg. slivered almonds
• 1/3 cup sunflower kernels
• 1/4 cup margarine, melted
• 1 head cabbage, shredded
• 3/4 cup vegetable oil
• 1/2 cup white vinegar
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 3 tbsp. Kikkoman Soy Sauce™

Directions

Place noodles, almonds, and kernels in baking dish. Drizzle with margarine. Toast in 350-degree oven for 10-15 minutes, stirring once or twice. Set aside.

Place cabbage in large bowl. Mix next 4 ingredients together. Pour mixture over cabbage and toss. Add toasted items and stir together. Cover and let sit in refrigerator for several hours (overnight is best). Stir well before serving.
